  • Impacts of the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy in the Trump Administration
    CHANGE, amfAR, and the Global Health Justice and Governance Program in the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health hosted an interactive webinar in June 2020 that explored the most recent impact data on the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy, otherwise known as the Global Gag Rule (GGR). Attendees engaged in an overview of the current state of GGR research, and a preview of forthcoming publications.
  • An Analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Anti-Prostitution Loyalty Oath Decision
    On July 15th, 2020, the African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA) and CHANGE co-hosted an interactive webinar examining the Anti-Prostitution Loyalty Oath (APLO), a funding restriction that requires all recipients of PEPFAR funding to “have a policy explicitly opposing prostitution.” Speakers Grace Kamau and Beirne Roose-Snyder discuss the Supreme Court's most recent ruling on the APLO, delivered on June 29th, 2020, which upholds the APLO as it applies to foreign affiliates of U.S.-based organizations.
