WASHINGTON, DC -- Statement from Serra Sippel, President of CHANGE, the Center for Health and Gender Equity on the 2020 US presidential election:
“From the beginning, we knew that in this unprecedented election where more people are expected to have cast a ballot than ever before, including more than 100 million who voted before Election Day itself, that we would not have the results until days, or potentially weeks after Election Night.
“Across the country, the American people made their voices heard, and now we must count each and every vote remembering that the first votes cast are often counted last.
“Democracy only works when we all have a chance to make our voices heard. We the people pick our leaders - no one else does.”
