CHANGE Mourns the Loss of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Honors Her Life and Legacy

Statement from Serra Sippel, President of CHANGE (the Center for Health and Gender Equity), on the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:

“CHANGE mourns the loss of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a champion of women’s rights and gender equality who recognized the continuum of rights in her support for the rights of all people – women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, voting rights, immigrant rights. She advanced our freedoms and we as a nation owe her a debt that cannot ever be truly repaid.

“We will fight to make sure that her spirit continues to inform our sense of mission as we honor her life and protect her legacy. We will uphold the work she started - ensuring that U.S. laws and policies respect and protect the human rights of all people.

“We urge the Senate to honor Ginsburg’s legacy and her dying wish - and not move to replace her until a new President is sworn in.”
