Brian Smith brings to CHANGE nearly two-decades of operations and management experience, executing long-term planning, project management, financial oversight, and daily administrative operations. Brian is a highly-dedicated non-profit leader with a proven record of strengthening operations and organizations. Prior to joining CHANGE, Brian served as chief administrative officer for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (UUCA) where he organized, directed, and planned all of the church’s activities and projects, including a $6.8 million construction project. Brian also led UUCA’s multiple arts and social justice programs that benefited the local community as well as partners abroad. Prior to his work at UUCA, Brian held leadership and development roles at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., where he was instrumental in its growth from a small garage theatre to the national epicenter of challenging new plays. Brian holds a B.A. in Theater Arts from George Mason University.
